Data Architect

About the Role

You will own the data architecture of CYBERIA's Dataspace platform — lakehouse topologies, data product design, and lineage-first governance — across customer deployments in fintech, energy, manufacturing, and healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Design medallion lakehouse architectures on Iceberg / Delta with strong schema evolution guarantees
• Model data products with clear ownership, contracts, SLAs, and consumption layers (PowerBI, Looker, Tableau, Excel)
• Define federated governance: catalog, lineage, quality rules, and access policy as code
• Architect streaming and batch ingestion patterns with cost and freshness trade-offs made explicit
• Partner with customer platform teams to land architectures that survive contact with production

Requirements

• 7+ years in data architecture or data platform engineering
• Deep experience with at least one open table format (Iceberg, Delta, Hudi) and one cloud object store
• Strong SQL plus working knowledge of Spark, Trino, or Flink
• Track record of shipped data mesh or data product programs — not just slideware
• Excellent written communication: ADRs, RFCs, and reference architectures
